Current Projects
These are our current projects. Although our future projects are also currently ongoing and we are accepting donations for them, we feel these projects are stepping stones to the success of our future projects.
Project 1
Resurface Jaycee
Project 1 is to resurface the hockey rink at Jaycee park. This will allow us a to engage with the community and the city and will serve as a first step tangible action to show the community that G.S.P. can and will produce results.
G.S.P has already taken the first steps to engage with the city on this project.
Once resurfaced, this space can act as a launching pad for future projects. Per the parks and rec. dept. this space has already been allocated for “extreme sports” use and requires no additional designation from our city council.
This space can act, with parks and rec approval, as a space for future G.S.P. fundraising events .

Project 2
Portable Park
Project 2 is for portable obstacles and ramps.
Before we go any further, we know everyone wants a big beautiful concrete skate park. I would refer you to our later projects. There is a G.S.P. strategy to our projects. Think of our earlier, smaller projects as means to our later projects. Project 2 will allow for G.S.P. fundraising events throughout our city. These events will not only raise funds for our future projects but will also help us build a diverse, vibrant, inclusive community around the culture of skateboarding.
Project 2 also is an essential component for project 3, a large scale skateboarding centric annual festival!
“proof of concept” this is a building block.
Project 3
Annual Festival
Project 3 is to hold a large scale annual skateboarding centric festival. Project 3 is something that G.S.P. has worked on in the past. This is an event that the city is very interested in and was even considering putting up the $50,000 dollar price tag!
Why didn’t it happen? The city was under the impression that the existing BMX park at Jaycee park is a skatepark. Unfortunately, when the potential cohost of the event realized that we had no skatepark, our plans were derailed.
However, if we have the setup proposed in project 2, project 3 is still on the table. To have an annual festival at the town commons with all our nearby businesses could be a big “proof of concept”!
