Project 5 is our biggest goal. Greenville, North Carolina, has long been recognized as a hub for action sports, earning the title “Pro Town, USA” from Sports Illustrated due to its deep-rooted connection to BMX and extreme sports. Legends like Dave Mirra helped put our city on the map, However, to truly honor our city’s history and continue fostering this legacy, we must invest in infrastructure that supports the next generation of action sports athletes—starting with a state-of-the-art skatepark. Greenville has a unique opportunity to build on its identity as "Pro Town, USA" This initiative will celebrate our past, boost our economy, and create a lasting impact for future generations.

Our city has been a breeding ground for top-tier BMX athletes, adding a skatepark would further cement our reputation as an action sports destination. Skateparks attract visitors, competitions, and tourism dollars, benefiting local businesses. Events held at the park can bring in sponsorship opportunities and national exposure. A skatepark provides a safe, structured space for young people to develop skills, build friendships, and stay active. Outdoor spaces like skateparks promote active lifestyles. Many cities across the U.S. are embracing skateparks as essential recreational spaces, just like basketball courts and soccer fields..
